Traduzione: L'università dei Giuristi ornò a sue spese con questa espresdel suo affetto, e il suo maestro Giovanni Morandi, che dai sacri recessi delle leggi estraendo preziosi ammaestramenti, l'intrattiene con somma ammirazione e frutto, e quest'aula, che a noi offre quel laborioso ozio che prepara alla trattazione dei più grandi negozi: così come essa stessa e dal maestro e dall'aula è ornata dei più chiari ornamenti della più nobile scienza. Opera finita il 5 luglio 1579, essendo priore Cesare Soglia da Milano Translation: In the name of God, the University of law at its own large expense decorated both the outstanding teacher Giovanni Morandi, who wonderfully extracts teaching from the sacred recesses of the law and entertains his hearers with great admiration and profit, and this hall which offers that time for reflection, which is the best preparation for important business, to express with these words its love of both, just as the University itself is adorned by both with the brightest ornaments of the most honourable studies. This work was finished 5 July 1579, when Cesare Solea of Milan was most worthy Prior.
