ANNO MDCCLX Traduzione: A Tommaso Laghi, membro del collegio dei medici, professore emerito d'anatomia nell'Università di Bologna, accademico dell'Istituto delle scienze, uomo incomparabile, maestro appassionato, che visse anni 55, mesi 1, giorni 25, morì il 14 marzo dell'anno 1764, Gian Battista Garino da Codogno, priore estivo delle due università degli Artisti, i presidi e i consiglieri ai maestro benemerito fecero fare questo ricordo l'anno 1765. Translation: In the name of God, to Tommaso Laghi, member of the twelve recognised physicians, emeritus teacher of anatomy of the University of Bologna, Academician of the Institute of Sciences, incomparable man, most enthusiastic of teachers, who lived 55 years, 1 month and 25 days. He died on 14 March 1764. Gian Battista Garino of Codogno, summer Prior of the two Universities of arts with the Presidents and Councillors caused this monument to a well-deserving master to be made in 1765.
