MERITISSIMO ANNO DNI MDCXXXV Traduzione: A Ottavio Amorini bolognese, dottore collegiato dell'uno dell'altro diritto, cavaliere, conte palatino, primario interprete di diritto imperiale, che conta una lunga serie di avi e 40 anni d'insegnamento e illumina col suo fulgore le fumose immagini dell'avita nobiltà, splendore di questa città, del secolo, del Liceo e del mondo, grata e memore l'università dei Giuristi pose questo monumento a spese pubbliche, su proposta del priore Gian Paolo Casati abile milanese, l'anno 1635. Translation: In the name of God, to Ottavio Amorini of Bologna, Doctor of the College of both laws, golden Knight, Count Palatine, principal lecturer in imperial law, who numbers a long series of ancestors and forty years of teaching [in his attributes], who illuminates the foggy images of his noble ancestors with his brightness, splendour of this city, century, University and world, the University of both laws at public expense placed this monument recording its gratitude, at the suggestion of the famous and generous Gian Paolo Casati, noble from Milan, most deserving Prior of both Universities, 1635. |
