DECEMBRIS Traduzione: A Emanuele Rodriguez Navarro che in Portogallo, nell'università di Coimbra, già da 25 anni pubblicamente professa il diritto civile con plauso di tutto il regno, decano, primario ed emerito antecessore, uomo per costumi e lealtà e moderazione, assiduo studio, passione d'insegnare ogni altra virtù dello spirito e del corpo eccellente, il Senato bolognese attribuì con suo decreto il titolo di professore eminente sopra ordinario. Le due università eressero questo ricordo perenne, di loro iniziativa, all'unanimità e a proprie spese, con l'assenso del priore Nicolò Melissino cretese, dei presidi M. Antonio Stanga cremonese, Giovanni Farina mantovano, Giulio Cristoforo maltese, Giovanni Meriter tedesco, l'anno 1622, nel mese di dicembre. Translation: In the name of God, to the famous and excellent Emanuele Rodriguez Navarro, who for 25 years publicly professed civil law in the famous University of Coimbra to the applause of the whole kingdom, Dean, Principal and emeritus forerunner, a man most distinguished for character, loyalty, moderation, hard study, love of teaching, and other virtues of mind and body, the most illustrious Senate of Bologna decreed him the title of eminent supernumerary Professor. The two Universities voluntarily, without opposition and at their own expense erected this lasting memorial, with the agreement of the illustrious Nicolò Melissino of Crete, most worthy Prior and of the Presidents M.
