Translation: To the most excellent Paolo [Curialti of] Tossignano, by far the most famous lecturer in Bologna University, whose acuteness in investigating the ambiguities of the law, whose clarity and eloquence in explaining them together with his kindness of character, his innocence of life and his wonderful skill in dealing with all kinds of people was never sufficiently admired by the whole order of lawyers which decided to place this testimony of perpetual love and gratitude, with the agreement of Ludovico Icart of Barcelona in Spain, most worthy Prior, 1589.
