DIE XX MENSIS DECEMBRIS ANNO 1659 Traduzione: A Girolamo Boncompagni, incremento della gloria, ornamento della virtù, argomento della fama, per il nome che .e dal patriziato romano, per la nascita dai duchi di Sora, per l'ufficio che continua quello degli arcivescovi e principi di Bologna, - nome illustre, nascita nobilissima, santissimo ufficio, - pronipote del sempre glorioso Gregorio XIII papa; dopo aver coperto nella Curia romana cospicui gradi di prelatura, ultimamente dal signifero santissimo di tutto il mondo Alessandro VII decorato della viceprefettura del sacro palazzo apostolico, - dove ai congiunti del gentilizio dragone dei Borghese è consueta sui Monti Santi la custodia delle Esperidi della fiorente Chiesa, sotto la luce della costellazione chigiana, sotto l'ombra della chigiana quercia risplende e veglia; a lui, non degenere rampollo di porporati avi, auspicatissimo cultore e promotore delle arti di Bologna, Ludovico Fontani da Modena, priore dell'università dei Giuristi umilmente dà dona dedica addì 20 dicembre 1659.
