ANNO SALVTIS MDCXXXVI Traduzione: A Prospero Policini, conte, cavaliere e dottore collegiato dell'uno e dell'altro diritto, interprete ordinario mattutino di diritto cesareo, per la sua grande saviezza e per la nobiltà antica della famiglia chiamato più volte a sostere pubblici uffici della Città di Bologna, benemerito della gioventù studiosa: le due università dei Giuristi questo monumento della loro gratitudine volentieri pongono e consacrano eterno, su proposta di Giovanni Dersfi ungaro, priore delle due università l'anno 1636. Translation: In the name of God, to Prospero Policini, Count, Knight and Doctor of the College of both laws, most eloquent and distinguished ordinary morning lecturer in imperial law, who energetically performed public duties for the state of Bologna, to which duties he was very often recalled because of his outstanding wisdom and the nobility of his ancient family, highly deserving of the young students, the two Universities of law willingly place and eternally consecrate this monument of gratitude, at the suggestion of Giovanni Dersfi from Hungary, most worthy Prior of the two Universities of law, 1636.
