VICENTINO // Traduzione: A Stefano dalle Balle nobile bolognese, dottore nell'uno e nell'altro diritto, per la sua singolare diligenza e fedeltà e facondia nello spiegare le leggi e in pubblico e in privato, l'intera università dei Giuristi che da ogni parte accorre ad ascoltarlo, da lui anche colmata di favori, all'uomo grande e generoso, benemerito del diritto e degli studiosi del diritto, unanime eresse questo monumento in segno della sua gratitudine, a proprie spese, con l'assenso e per decreto del cardinale Benedetto Giustiniani legato a latere di Bologna, addì 29 dicembre 1607, con l'assenso di Ventura Cerati Tommasini nobile di Vicenza priore dell'una e dell'altra università, e per cura di Marco Antonio Garzadori nobile di Vicenza. Translation: In the name of God, to Stefano dalle Balle, Bolognese noble, Doctor of both laws, for his unique diligence, trustworthiness and eloquence in elucidating the laws in public and private teaching, the whole body of lawyers, rushing from everywhere to hear him, increased in number by the duties he carried out most willingly, unanimously and at their own expense erected this monument as a token of their gratitude to a great and generous man who deserved well both of the law and of students of law, with the agreement and on the instructions of Cardinal Benedetto Giustiniani, Legate from the flank of Bologna, 29 December 1607, with the agreement of the famous and generous Ventura Cerati Tommasini, noble from Vicenza, most worthy Prior of both Universities, arranged by the famous Antonio Garzadori, noble from Vicenza.
