VNIVERSITAT.S PRIORE DIGNISS. // Traduzione: A Francesco Barbadori giureconsulto bolognese, ascoltatissimo interprete ordinario delle leggi nelle lezioni del mattino, che in giovane età, prima del tempo, con l'ingegno e il senno precoce affrettò, attivissimo, questo onore; cospicuo per integrità e gentilezza di carattere, mai stancato dalla fatica d'istruire pubblicamente e privatamente la studiosa gioventù: l'università dei Giuristi, chiamata dalle innumerevoli lingue dei suoi meriti, pose questo monumento a testimonianza perpetua della sua gratitudine l'anno 1628 con l'assenso di Giuseppe Resi nobile di Pieve di Cento, priore delle due università dei Giuristi. Translation: In the name of God, to Francesco Barbadori, lawyer from Bologna, most famous ordinary morning lecturer in law, when he was young in age, before the normal time of this honour, with precocious intelligence and most expert judgment of an adolescent, conspicuous for integrity and affability of character, never tired by his labours in teaching the young students publicly and privately, the University of law, prompted by innumerable witnesses of his merits erected this perpetual monument as a testimony of gratitude, 1628, with the agreement of the famous Giuseppe Resi, noble from Pieve di Cento, most worthy Prior of the two Universities of law.
