ANNO IVBILAEI MDCXXV Traduzione: A Bartolomeo Bonaccorsi nobile bolognese, filosofo e medico, che insegnando pubblicamente alle due facoltà nel patrio Ginnasio con grande lode d'erudizione ed eloquenza e umanità, congiunge in modo degno di meraviglia la teoria con la pratica, e il fiore della gioventù col frutto della gravità, della saggezza e dell'ordinato costume che s'addice ai vecchi. Le due università dei filosofi e dei medici al maestro insigne per gli ornamenti di tante virtù, benemerito per tanti titoli, questo monumento, qualunque sia, della loro gratitudine, posero a perpetua memoria nell'anno del Giubileo 1625. Translation: In the name of God, to Bartolomeo Bonaccorsi, Bolognese noble, famous philosopher and physician, who, teaching publicly in the two faculties of the University of his homeland, with the greatest praise for learning, eloquence and generosity, admirably joined together theory with practice, the flower of youth with the fruit of age, seriousness, prudence and honesty. To a teacher famous for the ornaments of so many virtues, well deserving so many titles, the two Universities of philosophy and medicine placed this monument, such as it is, for the perpetual memory of this thing, in the year of the Jubilee, 1625.
