Traduzione: Al cardinale Roberto Ubaldini, sapientissimo legato a latere di Bologna, vivo specchio d'ogni virtù, patrono umanissimo di coloro che amano il miele delle Muse e le Muse stesse, per avere assunto il loro patrocinio e la tutela in ogni luogo, le due università dei Legisti in segno di gratitudine, anno 1624, addì I° di gennaio. Translation: In the name of God, to the very great Roberto Ubaldini, Cardinal of the Holy Roman Church, most wise Legate from the flank of Bologna, the living image of all the virtues, most generous patron of those who love the Muses' honey and the Muses themselves, the two Universities of law place this monument of gratitude for becoming their patron and safeguarding their interests everywhere, 1 January 1624, from the virgin birth.
