ANNO MDCXXXXIV Traduzione: A Onorio Beati da Bologna, figlio di quel Gabriele che fu carissimo, subito dopo i sommi prìncipi, per la filosofia e la medicina, alla Cesarea Maestà e fu salutato come devoto amico da Stefano re di Polonia con una lettera resa preziosa da vari presenti e specialmente dall'insegna della collana d'oro: amantissimo della patria grandezza, viva immagine insieme d'Aristotele e di Galeno, padre di tre figli, da tutti invidiato, onori del secolo e del chiostro, dell'uno e dell'altro collegio onorevole decano non meno per l'abbondanza dei meriti che per il numero degli anni, che per dieci lustri pubblicamente percorrendo e illustrando i dominii di più scienze onorò e beò, rispondendo insieme al nome e al cognome, la gioventù che s'affollava intorno a lui avida di così grande erudizione aggraziata dalla dolcezza del carattere: le due università degli Artisti sotto i felici auspicii di Francesco Alberici da Lendinara, priore, e dei presidi G. Battista Crotta monferrino e Nicolò Gazzi fiorentino, posero l'anno 1644. Translation: In the name of God, to Onorio Beati of Bologna, most deserving son of Gabriel, who for philosophy and medicine was dear to the Caesarean Majesty, next to the greatest princes, and who was saluted for closeness of friendship by King Stephen of Poland, with letters made precious by various presents and especially by a golden collar. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the greatness of his homeland, a lifelike image of Aristotle and Galen together, the universally envied father of three sons, honoured by the world and the church, most honourable Dean of the two colleges, no less for his merits than for his seniority, who for fifty years publicly reviewed and illuminated more than one science, so that in response to his name and surname he both honoured and beatified the young people who crowded around him, enthusiastic for such great learning graced with his sweetness of character. The two Universities of arts under the fortunate auspices of the famous and generous Francesco Alberici of Lendinara, most worthy Prior and of the Presidents Giovanni Battista Crotta from Montefero and Nicolò Gazzi from Florence placed this memorial, 1644.
