CLXXII Traduzione: A Pier Giacomo Fiorini, che, chiamato a far parte dei collegi medici fin dal fiore dell'età, sbocciato come un fiore, diffonde soave olezzo di virtù; e che, dopo venticinque anni di pubblico lettorato, senza invecchiare, a conferma del nome ricevuto dagli avi, per i particolari servigi resi alla patria e al mondo, fiorisce d'immarcescibili onori, fiori che inghirlandano le vittorie della patria dottrina; e che, associando all'assidua pratica la teoria, produce frutti saporosi e odorosi per chi male si sente e per chi ben sente: perchè in questo fiorentissimo Ateneo eterna verdeggi la gloria di tanto uomo, anzi germini la primaverile grazia di tanto fiore: pose questo immutabile pegno d'un sempreverde amore Bartolomeo Perli da Vicenza, priore delle due università degli Artisti, 1672. Translation: In the name of God, to Pier Giacomo Fiorini, who, called to the College of medicine in the flower of his age, like flowers opening their leaves, diffused the sweet odour of virtues, after completing five five-year spells as public lecturer, hardly ageing lived up to his family name. He flourishes with honours of Amaranth for his special teaching to his homeland and the world, with flowers of Olympic victory for his country in science. Joining theory with assiduous practice, he produces tasty and perfumed fruit for those who suffer illness and those who feel well, so that the glory of such a man will bloom for ever in this most flourishing academy, just as grace grows with such a flower in spring. Bartolomeo Perli of Vicenza, Prior of both Universities of arts, places this unalterable pledge of ever living love, 1672.
